Tvrtka osnovana 2007. godine nakon podjele Tyco Internationala u svrhu stvaranja Tyco Electronics Ltd i Covidien-a, tvrtka je u 2011. godine promijenila ime u TE Connectivity. Razlog promjene imena je bolja komunikacija položaja tvrtke kao proizvođača konektora i senzora.
