Honeywell 1CPS Cable Pull Safety Switches

The 1CPS cable pull safety switch series is intended for applications such as conveyor runs within a defined system zone with a cable run of up to 76 meters. This means they are more cost effective than using a comparable multiple emergency stop push button system.

The internal mechanism is latched by both a push and pull action. This provides extra protection should the cable become slackened or broken over time. A midpoint cable tension window indicates the correct cable tension making it easy to set up. Once the contacts have been switched they must be reset by resetting the cable to the correct tension level and manually rotating the rest knob.

For extra protection a set of auxiliary contacts are switched when the main contact open allowing for monitoring or signalling equipment to be activated such as a flashing beacon. The auxiliary contacts are electrically isolated form the direct acting switch contacts meaning a closed circuit can be maintained even when the main contacts are in the open position.
