OSRAM MIDLED Series IR LEDs - Side Looking

This family of MIDLED Sidelooker IR LEDs, from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, are high power Infrared (IR) emitters. They are side looking emitters in OSRAM's MIDLED package. The MIDLED Sidelooker IR LEDs offer a very narrow beam angle without the need for a lens. This enables them to deliver a high light intensity from a compact package. The IR MIDLED family can be combined with a phototransistor in a matching package. They are a great alternative to the TOPLED with lens family which can be too large for some applications.
Suitable applications for the MIDLED Sidelooker IR LEDs include; IR illumination for cameras, IR data transmission, automotive technology and remote control.
