The insulation Excellent mechanical and electrical properties (over temperature range -20°C to +70°C) and are tested to a minimum of 10000 V, 50 Hz for 3 mins at various stages of manufacture. To ensure visual safety should the insulation become damaged, the final coat is ’orange’ and preceding coats are ’white’.
